Improving the Quantity, Quality and Use of Africa’s Water
According to the 2006 UNDP Human Development Report, governments need to spend about one per cent of GDP on water and sanitation. Additionally, increased international aid would play a very crucial role in catalyzing access to improved water sources. More funding from tariffs, taxes and transfers, in the right mix, can help meet national goals for sustainable water access.
