World Bank Report: Inclusion Matters in Africa
Africa has made impressive strides in growth, poverty reduction, human capital, digital technology, and people’s voice. However, progress is not reaching everyone – some are left behind based, inter alia, on their gender, age, ethnicity, disability status, nationality, location, or a combination of these.
The World Bank’s Inclusion Matters in Africa report, launched on October 17, 2019, conveys that social inclusion – i.e., understanding who is left behind at the country level, and in what ways – is central to accelerating poverty reduction in Africa.
