Massive Open Online Course (MOOC): Open Data Management in Agriculture and Nutrition
This free Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Open Data Management in Agriculture and Nutrition was first created in 2016. The course was delivered 5 times between November 2017 and November 2018, reaching over 5000 people globally, before being made available for unrestricted use.
The intended audience is broad, including information professionals interested in open data research and management (including ICT specialists, STEM journalists, communications professionals and archivists), data scientists and researchers, and policy and decision makers.
The course is now available in both English and French - course materials can be accessed here: https://www.godan.info/training-courses
GODAN have already received considerable interest in making this useful resource available in additional language versions, and are looking for collaborations with further partners for other languages, with Spanish and Portuguese a priority. There is an open call for making open data management course materials available in major world languages at https://www.godan.info/news/open-call-making-open-data-management-course-materials-available-major-world-languages
If you or your organisation are interested in participating, please send an Expression of Interest, explaining how you intend to contribute (including details on expertise, resources, etc) to the editorial work to ensure it is accurate and of high quality. Please outline a versioning strategy, as you plan updates to the original text. Contact GODAN Operations Director Sam Compton by 30 May, 2020 to register your interest at samuel.compton@godan.info.
