Course: Tools for Wetland Assessment

The course “Tools for Wetland Assessment” organised by Rhodes University, GroundTruth, Verdant Environmental and WRC introduces participants to a range of tools currently available to conduct or review wetland assessments. Professionals and practitioners who conduct or review wetland assessments should be familiar with the range of tools covered in the course. The major aspects covered in the course includes:

• Assessment of wetland integrity using the WET-Health (Version 2) tool;
• Assessment of wetland ecosystem services using the WET-EcoServices (Version 2);
• An introduction to wetland delineation; and
• An introduction of other tools (Buffer guidelines, Offset guidelines etc.).
